Biography
Simon Larose is a professor in Educational Psychology at Laval University (Québec City, Canada). He earned his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the same university (1994) and undertook postdoctoral studies at the Relationship Center from the University of Denver, Colorado. His main fields of research and teaching are adolescent and young adult development, attachment and family relationships, mentoring, school transitions, and academic adjustment. Since 2000, he has conducted important studies on mentoring and student adjustment during the high school to college transition. His current research program aims to understand the college transition of students dealing with a disability and to document how adapted services, accommodations, and mentoring programs prevent against at-risk academic and social trajectories.
