Bàrbara Bort
Biography
Bàrbara Bort is a social educator currently running a foster family program with young migrants in Punt de Referència, an association pioneer in social mentoring projects in Barcelona, that has been accompanying young people who are formerly under guardianship or in a vulnerable situations for more than 25 years.
She is well experienced developing mentoring programs and accompanying volunteers and young migrants that’s participate and take benefits from these programs. Overall, the aim of her job is to help young migrants out to magnify their social network and to improve their skills, throughout the tole of mentoring programs, to promote an increase the future opportunities of them in the European society generating a social impact and contributing to a real social transformation.
Before she finished her studies, she has also been a volunteer in a mentoring program with young migrants before they emancipate from the child protection system.
