Begoña Román Maestre has a PhD in philosophy from the University of Barcelona. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Barcelona.
From 1996 to 2007 he directed the Chair of Ethics of the Ramon Llull University. She is a member of the consolidated research group of the Generalitat de Catalunya “Aporia: Contemporary philosophy, ethics and politics”.
Her area of specialization is applied ethics on which he teaches in different masters and postgraduate courses. She is the President of the Social Services Ethics Committee in Catalonia, Member of the Bioethics Committee of Catalonia, and a member of the Healthcare Ethics Committees of the Hospital Clínic, of the primary care of the Institut Català de la Salut, and of the San Rafael Hospital.
