Grace Gowdy

Biography
Grace Gowdy is a Senior Researcher for the Youth, Family and Community division of Education Northwest, a nonprofit that provides high-quality research that addresses the most pressing youth-service needs. She is most passionate about better understanding and improving the lives of young people from minoritized and otherwise marginalized backgrounds. She is considered a content expert on informal mentoring for young people, amplifying the important relationships young people have with caring non-parental adults. Her research on informal mentoring focuses on how to better understand and improve the lives of young people and their families through a lens of social justice and social capital.
