Since ten years Lena Blum has been engaged in different roles with questions of the development and quality assurance of mentoring projects. Between 2008 and 2015 she let the German-Turkish mentoring project “Yoldas” (Turkish for companion), in which volunteers of Hamburg accompanied children with Turkish migration background. Currently she is working as a leader of the project „Landing bridges for refugees – fostering mentor projects in Hamburg“, addressing up to 50 mentoring projects which are supported by counseling, qualification measures and financial support.
Besides that Lena Blum is involved in the Mentor,Ring Hamburg e.V., the network of youth mentoring programs, in different roles (e.g. board member), supporting the know-how transfer of mentoring programs. She has a Diplom-Degree in in Studies of Cultural Sciences and Aesthetical Practice at
the University of Hildesheim/Germany.
