Marina Claverías Fernández
Biography
Marina is a social worker, director of a social mentoring specialized NGO in Tarragona , Spain, vice-president of the Spanish Social Mentoring Network (Coordinadora de Mentoria Social) and in this network, member of the research and innovation commission. She is associate professor at Rovira i Virgili University at Social Work studies. And due to her work at the NGO during 10 years, reflection on the need to conceptualize social mentoring, she is doing a phd in the field on mentoring: From action to theory: Mentoring as a tool for innovative social intervention. Marina believes that reinforcing the methodological quality of social mentoring programs is essential, and doing so with evidence of better theoretical foundation is necessary.
