Biography
Renée Spencer, EdD, LICSW, is a professor at the Boston University School of Social Work. Her research is rooted in relational perspectives of human development and specifically focuses on distinguishing factors that facilitate positive and meaningful mentoring relationships from those that contribute to mentoring going awry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare and serves on the National Mentoring Resource Center Research Board.
