Biography
Tim Cavell, Ph.D., is a clinical child/family psychologist and professor of Psychological Science at the University of Arkansas (USA). His research focuses on mentoring children who are highly aggressive or chronically bullied and thus at risk for later delinquency, substance abuse, and psychopathology. His work has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Institute for Educational Sciences (IES), and the U.S. Department of Defense. He has published three books (Good Enough Parenting; Working with Parents of Aggressive Children: A Practitioner’s Guide) and over 75 peer-reviewed journal articles. Tim is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Board of Educational Affairs and the Research Board for the National Mentoring Resource Center.
